When you jump out of an airplane, you’re probably going to want a parachute.
The tried-and-true method says you should acquire a parachute, check it, pack it, check it again, and know how to use it before you even get on the plane.
There is another method, however. You could acquire all of the materials and tools you need to make it, throw them on the plane, and start building your parachute as you’re taking off. How long till you need to jump? Don’t worry, keep building. Will it work? Don’t worry, keep building. Do you know how to use it? Don’t worry, keep building.
And then it’s time to jump. Is it done? If not, keep building.
What’s your highest priority?
If staying alive is the highest priority, then you’re gonna want to use the tried-and-true method.
However, if a great story, maybe even a legend, is a higher priority than staying alive, then the other method just might be the best one.
Always know your priorities and what you’re willing to trade.
There are never two number one’s.
